Home-made Ice Pops

DSC_0002

Who doesn’t like an ice pop on a hot summer day? Unfortunately, they can be full of sugar and artificial colouring and flavours. But luckily, there is a way to make your very own natural ice pops, using the bounty of fresh summer fruits. They are fun to make and taste delicious. Try and find your signature ice pop! Here is what I made:

Berry Blast:
1 cup mixed berries
1 banana
1/2 cup greek yoghurt
lemon juice
1 tsp honey

Banana Boat
1 banana
1 cup milk of your choice
1 tsp honey

Green Smoothie
1 banana
handful of baby spinach
1 kiwi fruit
lemon juice
1 cup milk of your choice

Chocolate Pop
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1 cup milk of your choice
1 banana
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp peanut butter (optional)

Combine all ingredients in a blender. Pour into mould and insert the sticks. Freeze overnight or for at least 12 hours.
Enjoy!
