This bread recipe takes healthy eating to the whole new level. It’s elegant, nourishing and absolutely delicious. It’s suggested to top it up with a chocolate drizzle for a special occasion. The recipe is found on The Whole Pantry App which can be downloaded from iTunes.
You will need the following ingredients:
2-3 small pears, whole or cored
260g buckwheat flour
2 eggs
180ml oil (macadamia, olive or coconut)
120ml water or milk
100g coconut sugar
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp apple cider vinegar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp maca powder
Method:
Preheat oven to 170C – line loaf tin with baking paper. Beat together all ingredients, except the pears, until well combined. Place washed, whole pears equally in prepared loaf tin. Pour bread batter around placed pears. Place into oven and bake for 30 minutes, remove from oven and cover with foil. Cook for further 10-15 minutes, depending on oven. Remove from oven, leave in tin to cool then slice and serve. Enjoy!
